Improve your traffic, conversion, sales and revenue with minimal effort.

It might feel like life is cancelled at the moment … and I get it, I’m limping to the finish line right by your side.

If you’re like me, your online shopping analytic trend currently looks like this:

Your need that hit … something that will make you FEEL something (anything please God) besides flat and over this 5hit.

If you’re feeling burnt out as heck, and you’re working your behind off and not accomplishing as much as you’d like to – solidarity peeps.

The main take away from my highly analytical online shopping graph (besides the fact that nice stuff makes us feel good, and you deserve it!) is this:

People are online now more than ever.

Here’s how you can improve your traffic, conversion, sales and revenue without having to do too much with your already tired brain.

Utilise Social Proof.

Social proof is a powerful psychological phenomenon in business and in life.

How many times have you heard a friend rave about their new lippie, activewear, podcast, food they ate, or the amazing massage they got … then thought to yourself, hell yes I need that too.

How many times have you asked for advice, or looked for reviews or stats before you made a purchase?

Social proof drives us to act. It’s the way we’re made. We look to other people to seek guidance on what to do, how we should behave, what we need because we assume we can trust their behaviour and judgement … and we don’t want to be the odd one out.

Check out these stats:

31% of customers are willing to spend more on a business with excellent reviews (Invesp)

Adding logos on a landing page can increase conversions by 400% (Conversion Rate Experts)

Websites that use testimonials receive 45% more traffic than websites that don’t. (Yotpo)

How can you use social proof to help your business?

Gather your social proof and plaster it everywhere. Put it on your website pages. Make it into social media posts. Include it in your emails.

Here are 6 categories of social proof you can use to boost your brand

1 Testimonials

Contact your previous clients and ask them to give you glowing feedback. Hot tip – send them the link to your Google My Business Review page to help boost your SEO ranking.

Don’t just email them asking for feedback – think about the areas you want to highlight and prompt them.

Eg – I’d love for you to leave a review on the quality of our product/value for money

Can you leave me a review and include what your problem was and how I solved it?

2) The number of people who’ve trusted you

Have a look at your point of sale system and count your customers. You can frame this as ‘ X people have trusted us to {insert the solution you offer}’.

3) Your rating

Share your Google rating or product ratings with an ‘as at date’

4) Formal certifications and awards

Include your logos and certifications on your website footers and in your email signatures. You can also use them in a social post.

5) Share your wins – stats and otherwise

How do you measure your success? If you’re a coach or a service provider did your client get a promotion, reach their health goals, sell a new course or make money on a sales page? Share your wins so ideal clients can picture what it’s like to work with you.

6) Endorsements or expert recommendations

When other people use or share your thing, let your people know. Have you been featured on someone else’s website or socials? Share the link.

So there you have it. Social proof requires the gathering and organising of information but not too much hard brain labour.

Which is what we all need at this point in time!
